The General Assembly has added another notice requirement for IEP teams. Effective 8/20/18, IEP teams:

  1. Must provide written notice to parents that the IEP team is required to consider whether the child requires assistive technology to receive a FAPE. 
  2. This notice must include the toll free phone number and website address for the IL AT Program and must also be provided to parents at the initial IEP and each annual review thereafter.

Standalone forms have not yet been provided and the IEP forms to include the notice have not yet been amended. Consider providing this written notice directly in the IEP notes.
